...and never boring!
While Olaf was working, Jakob and I visited some very interesting exhibitions.
My favorite museum is always the Institute of Art. This time they had a great special exhibition about Immigrants in Chicago ( we can relate to that a little bit...) and a fantastic photography exhibition.
Jakob preferred the Museum of Nature and History, as usual. His teacher recommended to see "The caves of Lascaux", because Jakob just learned about it in school. Very impressing!
But, I think, we spend most time in the Planetarium. Jakob almost wanted to stay over night there...
I especially loved the view from the Planetarium: Lake Michigan and the skyline of Chicago!
Jakob didn't enjoy the Museum of Contemporary Art so much. No wonder. There is so much contemporary art to discover just walking through the city. Great sculptures, fountains and what an architecture!
What else did we discover? Fantastic restaurants! My favorite was SushiSamba Rio, a fusion of Latin and Japanese food.
I dont't know how many miles we walked in those four days... no need for a trade mill, for sure.
The best moments during a trip come usually unexpected and without a plan.
That was the moment when we both got so tired that we just took seat at a small wall, watched the people passing by, ate the astronaut ice cream (from the planetarium) and macaroons. On top of it the sun was shining and there was life music from a festival close by...
What more could you wish for?!
