My husband really surprised me this Christmas: he gave me a weekend in D.C as a gift! (I am usually our travel guide, who choose and books the trips.) Just loved it- my favorite type of gift!
So, we spent last weekend with Obama ( not directly, of course) . This was not our first visit to D.C. but I am always impressed with the huge variety of great museums there. Amazing!!! And they are all for free. My favorite was the Museum of Art (the department of modern art, especially!) this time.
And we payed respect to Martin Luther King, it was his birthday (the new Memorial is very impressive).
One of the best things: you can walk everywhere, no need to take a bus.
I am ready to be surprised again...maybe next weekend??
Ps. Olaf chose also a really cool place to stay and eat...
